The Chartered Accountant (CA) certification exam aims to ensure the quality and competence of professional accountants thereby providing optimal value to the public. The CA exam refers to the International Education Standard (IES) in accordance with the provisions of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) which requires that every professional accountant be an individual whose integrity, ethics and competence have been tested, and is up to date with the latest developments in professional standards and ethics. In order to increase the quantity and quality of the Indonesian Chartered Accountant (CA) exam, IAI has determined changes to the new format of the Indonesian CA exam as a strategy to increase the quantity of qualified CA exam participants and graduates.
The Accounting Study Program held a CA exam socialization which was attended by Dr. Dra Murdiyati Dewi, M.Sc., Ak., CA., CPA who is the representative of IAI East Java. He said that Chartered Accountant is a professional certification established by the Indonesian Accountants Association (IAI) in accordance with international standards. CA certification aims to improve the quality of professional and globally competitive accountants. This qualification is also established to maintain and increase public trust in the accounting profession. Students who have completed the program and passed the CA exam are eligible to receive a CA certificate.
