The event commenced with an opening address by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business at UMM. The event aimed to offer guidelines for assessing the Social Return on Investment (SROI) as a means of quantifying the effects of a company's social initiatives. Mrs. Erwin disclosed that the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme is obligatory for all organisational units. Typically, each corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme entails a substantial allocation of financial resources. Hence, it is imperative to evaluate the success of investment funds through the utilisation of Social Return on Investment (SROI) methodology.
During the concluding session, Arief provided an elucidation on the process of preparing the Sustainability Report. According to Arief, the Sustainability Report is a performance report conducted by a corporation to assess, disclose, and manage transformations with the aim of fostering sustainable practises. The sustainability report holds significant relevance for firms across several sectors. The production of this sustainability report is a manifestation of our commitment to corporate accountability and a strategic move towards the adoption of sound corporate governance practises. This particular activity is an integral component of the SSAC.
