The Accounting Study Program at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang was founded in 1986 under the auspices of the Faculty of Economics and Business. Accountants at that time were still very rare and many companies needed them, so this study program was established to provide experts, especially in the field of Accounting. Apart from having accounting skills, graduates of the accounting study program at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang are expected to understand Islamic values in Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah sciences.

Field of Study Accounting Study Program

The fields of knowledge or fields of study which are the main subjects of the Accounting study program, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Muhammadiyah Malang consist of:

1. Core Science Fields of Study (Body of Knowledge)

The field of study of Economics which includes the study of various economic aspects and problems, both Macroeconomics and Microeconomics as well as the field of study of Accounting which includes Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Taxation, Accounting Information Systems, Sharia Accounting and Auditing (Inspection).

2. Supporting Study Fields (Soft Skills)

To provide provisions for students, the Accounting study program at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang provides life skills education and lifelong learning through the required fields of study, including the supporting fields of study, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, English, Mathematics, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Research Methodology, Statistics and other support needed in the Bachelor of Accounting study program is management which includes Financial Management, Business Communication, Business Feasibility Study, Strategic Management and so on.

3. Fields of Study that Characterize (Indonesian National Identity)

Includes the study of Religion and Moral Ethics, as well as the study of Pancasila as the basis of the state, language and the field of study of Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah as the characteristics of the University
