Accounting Study Program FEB UMM Establishes Research Collaboration with the Accounting Research Institute (ARI) UiTM Malaysia

The Accounting Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, UMM, agreed to collaborate in developing collaborative science and technology, especially in the field of research with the Accounting Research Institute, Universiti Teknologi MARA (ARI UiTM), Malaysia.

Delivered by the Head of Accounting Study Program, Dr. Driana Leniwati, MSA., Ak., that as a highly reputable research institution in Malaysia, collaboration with ARI UiTM will further improve the collaborative research atmosphere at the international level which will also increase the quantity and quality of research publications in the field of Accounting globally. So far, there have actually been collaborative activities with FEB UMM, especially between the UMM Accounting Study Program and ARI UiTM. One example last year was Prof. Nafsiah Mohamed from ARI UiTM has delivered a Guest Lecture on financial criminology at the FEB UMM Accounting Study Program.

"I really hope that this collaboration will further improve the atmosphere of collaborative research at the international level which will also increase the quantity and quality of publication of research results within the FEB UMM Accounting Study Program at the international level," he said.

Leni, her nickname, added, in the future this collaboration will continue to be improved and can be stated in a Letter of Intent (LoI) which will define the scope of cooperation. Currently, the research and publication atmosphere within the Accounting Study Program has increased significantly. God willing, gradually the FEB UMM Accounting Study Program can achieve this in fulfilling national and international qualifications.

Mudrifah, SE., MM. as chief executive of this event added that other collaborations that could be carried out were, for example, related to the need and availability of data between countries in Indonesia and Malaysia. "This is certainly a mutually beneficial collaboration for both parties, both for ARI UiTM and the FEB UMM Accounting Study Program to strengthen it institutionally and can be used for students' theses and lecturers' research in the future," he explained. "We also want to convey information about scientific collaboration, academic training and increasing academic capacity for both students and lecturers," he said.

It is hoped that this collaboration can provide benefits and expand networking for both parties with joint research and publications. (if)
