Muhammadiyah Malang received an academic visit from the Accounting Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Muhammadiyah University of Palembang in the hall of building C, campus I of UM Metro to strengthen friendship between Muhammadiyah Universities.
The FEB UM Palembang Accounting Study Program group consists of Deputy Dean II for finance, namely Apriyanto, SE., MSi., Deputy Dean IV Hoirul Amry, M.E, Sy, Head of Accounting Study Program Dr. Betri, SE., MSi., Ak., CA., Head of General Subdivision Nurkholis, SE., Digital Business Study Program Staff Suhairi Iswanto, S.Ak., MM., and lecturer representative Dr. Maidiana Astuti, SE., MSi. Along with representatives of Accounting study program students from semesters 3, 5, 7, approximately 100 people.
Aprianto, SE, MSi. as deputy dean II of FEB UM Palembang who was in charge of the group, expressed his gratitude for the reception from the UMM Accounting Study Program during the visit.
"I represent the FEB UM Palembang Accounting Study Program, to express my thanks very much for the welcome from the UMM Accounting Study Program. "I think this is an extraordinary thing, being able to stay in touch with fellow Muhammadiyah University graduates," he said.
He admitted that their presence at UMM, apart from strengthening friendship, was also to carry out benchmarking regarding management and programs that support the FEB UMM Accounting study program to obtain superior status from BAN PT.
"Our aim here, apart from establishing friendship with the FEB UMM Accounting study program, we deliberately invited around a hundred accounting students to take part in a direct presentation from the head of the FEB UMM Accounting study program, Dr. Driana Leniwati. "So this can be a provision for us to participate in building the Accounting Study Program there," he said.
Furthermore, Dr. Betri stated that the Accounting study program must continue to innovate to adapt to stakeholder needs. For example, by equipping students with technology-based accounting knowledge. "Currently UMM is very advanced, here there is also SADAP (Student Added Value Program) and Test Center (FSAB certification for Accounting graduates). "We will bring this so that we can emulate the UMM Accounting Study Program and be able to excel too," he concluded.
