The accounting study program collaborates with the accounting laboratory to hold a national seminar with the theme "Synergy of the Roles of the Accounting Profession, Data Analyst and Business Intelligence". The Accounting Study Program invited Business Intelligence practitioners, namely Alva Erwin, who is the Chief Executive Officer at cakravala.id. cakravala.id.

Business intelligence is very important for companies. Problems that occur in the company's business must be identified early so that they do not escalate and tend to be easier to handle. This is the task of business intelligence, namely providing explanations regarding company performance problems. Apart from that, it could be that a company has data, but it cannot be utilized optimally without the existence of Business Intelligence.

Apart from Alva Erwin, other speakers were Ali Al Harkan who is a Business Intelligence and Data Analyst expert from Bitlabs Academi, and A. Syaiful Hidayat Anwar, MSc., Ak., CA. from Accounting FEB UMM.

The presenters said that Business Intelligence is a very important element in the business world today and in the future. Without BI, companies will experience difficulties in identifying problems that occur and it will also be difficult to measure company performance. If poor performance cannot be detected, it will be difficult to fix it, which will end up being detrimental to the company and making it more difficult to win market share even though the business strategy is good. Business Intelligence continues to develop along with business development and is supported by technology that continues to advance and of course must be supported by good resources. It is hoped that with this event, Accounting study program students will gain new insight, motivation and experience regarding Business Intelligence. (if)
