Best Paper Winner at 2023 KRA X International Conference, UMM Accounting Lecturer Proud to Bring Accounting Issues to Local Wisdom Madura

The Accounting Lecturer at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang achieved the distinction of receiving the best paper award at the 2023 KRA X International Conference, hosted by the Islamic University of Malang on July 27, 2023.

The conference received a total of 398 paper submissions, out of which 20 papers were chosen as the most outstanding contributions. A group of accounting instructors from the University of Muhammadiyah Malang achieved recognition for their research paper, which was ranked among the top 20 at the KRA X conference in 2023. The work authored by Dr. Driana Leniwati, SE., M.SA., Ak., CA., CSRS., CSRA, with co-authors Siti Rohani, Dr. Ahmad Juanda, Ak., M.M., CA, and Agung Prasetyo S.E., M.A, was recognised as one of the outstanding papers at the current KRA event.

The problem of local wisdom in Madura, namely Karapan Sapi, was brought up by Dr. Driana Leniwati, SE., M.SA., Ak., CA., CSRS., CSRA. The study is titled "Interpreting the Cost Benefit Concept of Local Wisdom Karapan Sapi, Madura: A Socio-Psychological Perspective". According to Dr. Driana Leniwati, SE., M.SA., Ak., CA., CSRS., CSRA, the achievement of the accounting study programme in being awarded the top paper at the KRA X 2023 International Conference was seen as a great honour. We take great pride in our ability to make a valuable contribution to the Knowledge, Research, and Application (KRA) field. Dr. Driana Leniwati, SE., M.SA., Ak., CA., CSRS., CSRA expressed gratitude for the potential of our work to achieve recognition as an outstanding paper, facilitated by the incorporation of local wisdom, such as the cow race.

Dr. Driana Leniwati, an esteemed academic with several qualifications including SE, M.SA, Ak, CA, CSRS, and CSRA, expressed her aspirations for the future. She expressed her desire for an increased number of high-quality research papers emerging from the accounting study programme, with the potential to be recognised as top papers, either in terms of quantitative or qualitative research.
