Towards an Excellent Faculty, FEB UMM carries out an Internal Quality Audit

April 11 2023, the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (FEB-UMM) has undergone an Internal Quality Audit (AMI) in the FEB courtroom. The results of this audit include AMI minutes and reports which have been signed by Dr. Idah Zuhroh, MM, who is the leader of UPPS, and Dr. Ir. Wahono, MT., IPM, who acts as coordinator of the auditor team. These documents have been submitted to the UPPS leadership. Overall, AMI concluded that UPPS/FEB had not fully complied with SPMI. In his presentation, the auditor also emphasized that formative evaluations had been carried out by UPPS and Study Programs, through monitoring aimed at improving and controlling UPPS through satisfaction level surveys to produce satisfaction survey reports (tracer studies). The results of AMI and discussions with UPPS/FEB management revealed several findings.

The first finding is related to the storage and organization of quality documents, such as RAB, KAK, and other supporting documents. In addition, although evidence of actual quality documents already exists, they have not been uploaded and their organization still needs to be improved. The second finding relates to the Vision, Mission, Goals and Targets (VTMS), which should also be included in the VTMS output document and updated according to the superior standards in LAM-EMBA. The third finding highlights the lack of student achievement in international seminars, international research collaboration, and limited community service at the international level. The fourth finding revealed that there were no documents regarding graduate user satisfaction surveys that track graduates working at the multinational level. The auditor noted that a graduate user satisfaction survey had been conducted by BPMI using the alumni and graduate user satisfaction survey method. The latest findings show that derivative standards have not yet been formed because the LAM-EMBA document has only been available since 2022. Obstacles in organizing and uploading quality documents still need to be overcome. It is hoped that in the future, the implementation and management of the quality of education at FEB will become better and gain international recognition.
